~Happy New Year~

Welcome to 2006 Everyone - I wish you health and happiness throughout this year and always.

Oh my it is so **HOT** and I don't handle the heat very well. The predicted temperature for us for New Years Eve was 42oCel - Yuk!! at lunch time it had reached 39oC and I was suffering I am not sure what temperature we ended up reaching for the day I didn't want to look.!!! I spent the afternoon with my hubby ( whom I hadn't seen all week - due to work committments ) watching DVD's we watched Stepford Wives first - weird movie but those houses are gorgeous!! then Racing Strips - ah what a cute movie that was. This afternoon we thought we might venture down to the cinema to see the Chronicles of Narnia - should be cool in there as it is another sorcher today and our Air Con is not quite up to the task - it is a ducted system throughout the whole house but being evaporative not very efficient in this heat. At 7.00pm last night we took a dip in the pool before heading out to a New Years Eve's party - for the past 2 years we have joined our friend John & Judy at friends of theirs for a family get-together - love it 'cos it is a family affair - yep "cool" enough for the teenagers......this year we had a live band - one of the boys had formed a band with mates and although they only have about 6 months experience they were great - my 14 yr old musical minded daughter even thought so ( and thats saying something!! ha ha )- she even recorded some of the songs on her camera - if I get a chance later I will upload some photos ( gotta figure out how to do that first!!! ). We got home at about 2.00am and then I did something I can hardly believe I did. The girls headed off to bed and hubby and I unpacked what was left in the esky ( and damn - no toblerone dip left!! ). Then as it was still very warm he suggested we have a starlight swim in the pool - skinny dipping he wanted to go!! now I know some of you reading this know me pretty well and know that at times I can be a little prudish and am very self conscious of my size but he talked me into it - despite it being very dark outside I was so scared the neighbours would see me - but I did it anyway - oh my! it was so nice I hardly want to admit to it - the water was so refreshing....the stillness of the night so relaxing......and floating on my back looking up at the stars was so beautiful..........oh my ! I still can't believe I did it......if my daughters ever found out I would never live it down.

Oh and if you were wondering about that new pillow - first night no difference but last night I slept like a baby!!

It had nothing to do with the pillow....it was the skinny dipping. So you know what that means??? LOL

It was a scorcher here too - but I didn't brave the skinny dipping ;)
