~The Holiday Must End~

Well the adrenaline rush of my moonlight swim has passed (although I still can't believe I did it !!) and I must prepare myself for "back to work" tomorrow - its not that I don't enjoy my job ( I work in an Audiology Clinic) - its just that this week went too, too fast....I didn't get to do everything I had planned. Although I do perform well under pressure and might just find I will achieve quite a bit in the hours I have left. One thing I MUST do today is finish a little 7x7 album for my bosses daughter she leaves in 3 weeks for Brazil a 12 month Student Exchange. I plan to predecorate the pages with titles such as My family/home/friends/school/hobbies etc etc - then her older sister will add the photos.
Yesterday was another hot day - the temperature when my hubby left for work at 9.00am was still at that yucky 42oCel. but by around 3.30pm the cool change found its way from Melbourne to us with a nice breeze and a little rain - for which my garden will be very thankful. I did get to take down our Christmas Tree yesterday and other decorations - probably the worse job of the Christmas Season - its amazing how "empty" the house looks when you pack all the Chrissy gear away. I also went to the Cinema as mentioned to see the Chronicles of Narnia - the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe went with my hubby and daughter No.1 - daughter No.2 wouldn't go she is at that awful teenage age where it is "uncool" to be seen with your parents in public places - I don't get it!!. Anyway this was one of my favourite childhood books my Sunday School teacher gave me my first copy and the movie did not disappoint.....the script was pretty close to the book, the special effects so real and the animals & "creatures" just lovely.....the battle scenes were handled beautifully for young children no "blood & guts" and although the sword fights looked real you didn't actually see any bodily contact...I was so impressed.
........anyway best go an attend to the washing that needs to be hung out and the uniform that needs to be ironed so I can sit down at my cropping desk and get this album done

I know how you feel - i'm not ready to go back to work tomorrow either :sigh:

I'm looking forward to seeing the Chronicles of Narnia too - it was one of my favourite books as a child too.
