~Making Lists~

......and checking them twice - yes that is what yesterday & today will be all about. Its not planning for my holiday that requires the list making but I need to compile them to be organised enough to go.....but I am happy to reveal I have been out of bed for nearly 2 hours and I have ticked a couple of things off - Woo Hoo!!
That dreaded motivation thingy that is hanging its ugly head over me is not making this easy though - I know what I want to do but have the can't be bothered's - not an attitude that is going to get me anywhere!!! I need to just get on with it and go have my holiday!!
OK I'd better "hop to it" - yep going going gone!!!

~Oh Deary Me~

It has been 6 days since I lasted posted here - time really does go fast!!
Well I did that "thing" I should have said no to, I did as I expected and didn't enjoy the day but it wasn't a complete "write off" - Werribee Mansion is beautiful and I will go back for fun next time. I also got to chat to some consultants on the same wavelength as me and that was good we even shared some ideas that will keep me going - while I am not very motivated!!! The whole thing was a matter of courtesy but I really should learn to be a bit selfish sometimes and do things for just ME.
The heat of the past few days has really gotten to me, I get home from work have a quick swim, dinner and off to bed - last night I was in bed at 8.30am - so lazy! I haven't even started packing for my big trip can't wait to go can't be bothered going - so what's the theory?? am I just plan "burnt out" and need a holiday??

~ I Must Learn to say No~

.....I must - I must - I must learn to say no to this thing I have trouble saying - NO!! So if you have missed me the last few days - I haven't been here 'cos I've been doing this thing I should have said NO to - I have been busy burning the "Midnight Oil" doing some design work and writing a presentation for a CM training day - that I'm not even registered for attending - and then today I let myself get talked into actually attending and doing the presentation - when will I ever learn??????....I'm so angry with myself - I need a holiday! and I also need to get some sleep tonight so best remove myself from this keyboard too!!

~A few Blogging questions~

Two posts in a day - don't get use to it!! - being "back to work" tomorrow will mean my blogging won't be as regular........I do though have a few questions to pose to my "readers".

My reasons for blogging were explained in my very first post and I have only informed a few of my online buddies of my blogs existence - some of you I know well - others are just getting to know me.
In essence I am a rather private person - a little shy ( some people mistake this for being aloof ) and more a listener than a talker - but when I get to know you and you're in "my circle" you will find you get to know my inner most secrets and will notice that I talk "fast & furious" on anything and everything.

So to my questions -
Do you read blogs of just your friends or do you also read the blogs of "strangers"?
How do you feel about "strangers" reading your blogs?
Is your blog listed as a link from other friends blogs?

and the big question!!! - Would you be happy to read my blog??

Thanks

~The Holiday Must End~

Well the adrenaline rush of my moonlight swim has passed (although I still can't believe I did it !!) and I must prepare myself for "back to work" tomorrow - its not that I don't enjoy my job ( I work in an Audiology Clinic) - its just that this week went too, too fast....I didn't get to do everything I had planned. Although I do perform well under pressure and might just find I will achieve quite a bit in the hours I have left. One thing I MUST do today is finish a little 7x7 album for my bosses daughter she leaves in 3 weeks for Brazil a 12 month Student Exchange. I plan to predecorate the pages with titles such as My family/home/friends/school/hobbies etc etc - then her older sister will add the photos.
Yesterday was another hot day - the temperature when my hubby left for work at 9.00am was still at that yucky 42oCel. but by around 3.30pm the cool change found its way from Melbourne to us with a nice breeze and a little rain - for which my garden will be very thankful. I did get to take down our Christmas Tree yesterday and other decorations - probably the worse job of the Christmas Season - its amazing how "empty" the house looks when you pack all the Chrissy gear away. I also went to the Cinema as mentioned to see the Chronicles of Narnia - the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe went with my hubby and daughter No.1 - daughter No.2 wouldn't go she is at that awful teenage age where it is "uncool" to be seen with your parents in public places - I don't get it!!. Anyway this was one of my favourite childhood books my Sunday School teacher gave me my first copy and the movie did not disappoint.....the script was pretty close to the book, the special effects so real and the animals & "creatures" just lovely.....the battle scenes were handled beautifully for young children no "blood & guts" and although the sword fights looked real you didn't actually see any bodily contact...I was so impressed.
........anyway best go an attend to the washing that needs to be hung out and the uniform that needs to be ironed so I can sit down at my cropping desk and get this album done

~Happy New Year~

Welcome to 2006 Everyone - I wish you health and happiness throughout this year and always.

Oh my it is so **HOT** and I don't handle the heat very well. The predicted temperature for us for New Years Eve was 42oCel - Yuk!! at lunch time it had reached 39oC and I was suffering I am not sure what temperature we ended up reaching for the day I didn't want to look.!!! I spent the afternoon with my hubby ( whom I hadn't seen all week - due to work committments ) watching DVD's we watched Stepford Wives first - weird movie but those houses are gorgeous!! then Racing Strips - ah what a cute movie that was. This afternoon we thought we might venture down to the cinema to see the Chronicles of Narnia - should be cool in there as it is another sorcher today and our Air Con is not quite up to the task - it is a ducted system throughout the whole house but being evaporative not very efficient in this heat. At 7.00pm last night we took a dip in the pool before heading out to a New Years Eve's party - for the past 2 years we have joined our friend John & Judy at friends of theirs for a family get-together - love it 'cos it is a family affair - yep "cool" enough for the teenagers......this year we had a live band - one of the boys had formed a band with mates and although they only have about 6 months experience they were great - my 14 yr old musical minded daughter even thought so ( and thats saying something!! ha ha )- she even recorded some of the songs on her camera - if I get a chance later I will upload some photos ( gotta figure out how to do that first!!! ). We got home at about 2.00am and then I did something I can hardly believe I did. The girls headed off to bed and hubby and I unpacked what was left in the esky ( and damn - no toblerone dip left!! ). Then as it was still very warm he suggested we have a starlight swim in the pool - skinny dipping he wanted to go!! now I know some of you reading this know me pretty well and know that at times I can be a little prudish and am very self conscious of my size but he talked me into it - despite it being very dark outside I was so scared the neighbours would see me - but I did it anyway - oh my! it was so nice I hardly want to admit to it - the water was so refreshing....the stillness of the night so relaxing......and floating on my back looking up at the stars was so beautiful..........oh my ! I still can't believe I did it......if my daughters ever found out I would never live it down.

Oh and if you were wondering about that new pillow - first night no difference but last night I slept like a baby!!
